CME
Accreditation Statement
The
University of Alberta, Faculty of Medicine, Office
of Continuous Professional Learning is fully
accredited by the Committee on Accreditation of
Canada Medical Schools (CACMS) and by reciprocity
through the Accreditation Council for Continuing
Medical Education (ACCME) of the United States to
sponsor continuing medical education (CME) for
physicians. The University of Alberta takes
responsibility for the content, quality, and
scientific integrity of the CME activity.
The
Division of Continuous Professional Learning at the
University of Alberta has approved this as an
Accredited Group Learning Activity under Section 1
of the Framework of Continuing Professional
Development options for the Maintenance of
Certification Program of the Royal College of
Physicians and Surgeons of Canada.
CME Credit
The
Division of Continuous Professional Learning of the
University of Alberta designates this educational
activity for a maximum of 39.6 hours in
category 1 credit towards the AMA Physician's
Recognition Award. Each physician should claim only
those hours of credit that he/she actually spent in
the educational activity.
